Genesis of digital economy models

Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of the theoretical provisions of the digital economy. It has to be stated that to date there has not been formed a single theoretical basis for the digital economy, both in the global aspect and in the scientific works of Russian researchers. The methodological basis of the research was such methods as analysis, synthesis, grouping. The information base was the works of domestic and foreign authors, the legal reference system and other sources. The authors systematize the stages of economic development; identify the essential characteristics of the digital economy as a modern stage of development, the levels of the digital economy: local, national and global; the author's model of the digital economy is proposed. Also, based on the results of the review of the world experience in the development of the digital economy, the authors gave a forecast for the formation of a new sixth stage of development. The obtained research results can be applied in further studies of the digital model of the economy and the development of theoretical issues of digital services, digital business models, as well as methodological approaches to the assessment of the digital economy.
