Research of perception of the value of digitalization in the field of housing and communal services

Abstract

Digital technologies significantly simplify housing and communal services management processes. However, when using digital technologies in housing and communal services, obstacles and risks may arise. This article presents the results of a study by the Laboratory of Marketing Research and Development R&D Marketing.Lab, Perm State National Research University on the attitude of the population to the digitalization systems of urban management operating in the city of Perm. The survey results confirm that Perm residents with higher education have a positive attitude towards the idea of automatic transmission of readings using Internet of Things sensors. Most of the 56-65 years old age category of the population of Perm either have a negative or neutral attitude towards the use of Internet of Things sensors in the housing and communal services sector. Governmental information system for housing and communal services has a low rating among residents of Perm. The most convenient for users of housing and communal services among web services is the website of the Permenergosbyt company.
